About Mochi Fit

Mochi Fit is a relaxing tangram-style packing puzzle dressed up in glossy mochi candy. Each level hands you a target shape on a grid and a little tray of polyomino pieces, every one a different bright candy colour. Your job is simple to grasp but satisfying to solve: drag every piece out of the tray and fit them into the shape so that each cell is covered exactly once. A piece snaps to the grid as you move it, glowing green when it fits cleanly into empty cells and red when it would overlap or spill outside the silhouette, so you always know whether a spot will work before you let go.

There are 20 hand-tuned levels arranged into five candy worlds, then an endless run of fresh puzzles after that. The early Berry and Citrus worlds start with small rectangles and a handful of pieces while you learn the snap-and-rotate flow. From the Mint world on, pieces can also be flipped, and the Ocean and Galaxy worlds carve the grid into irregular candy silhouettes with more pieces to juggle. Every puzzle, curated or generated, is built backward from a real solution, so there is always at least one way to make everything fit. It is a calm, no-timer, no-fail brain teaser you can dip into for one quick puzzle or settle in with for a long, cosy session.

How to play Mochi Fit

Look at the target shape on the grid and the candy pieces waiting in the tray along the bottom.
Press a tray piece and drag it up onto the shape; a snapping preview shows where it will land.
Watch the preview colour: green means the piece fits the empty cells cleanly, red means it would overlap or stick out, so move it until it turns green, then let go to lock it in place.
Tap a piece in the tray (without dragging) to rotate it 90 degrees; in later worlds pieces can also flip, giving you more orientations to try.
Made a mistake? Tap a piece you already placed to lift it back to the tray, or use Reset in the settings menu to clear the whole board and start the level fresh.
Keep going until every cell of the shape is filled exactly once with no gaps and no overlaps to complete the level and earn three stars.

Tips & strategy

Start with the biggest or most awkward pieces first; they have the fewest spots they can go, and the small pieces almost always tuck into whatever is left.
Corners and narrow nooks of the shape are the most constrained cells, so figure out which piece can reach into them before filling the open middle.
Use the green and red preview as a free hint: nudge a piece around a likely area and the colour tells you instantly whether that orientation can ever work there.
If a piece will not fit anywhere, rotate it (and, from the Mint world on, look for its flipped form) before assuming you have the wrong piece for that gap.
Count the empty cells against the pieces left in the tray; when the numbers feel off, you have probably placed something a cell too far over, so lift it and slide it.
There is no clock and no penalty, so when you get stuck, tap a placed piece or Reset and rebuild from a different corner instead of forcing a piece that does not belong.
