A little welcome-back treat:
HomeโบMochi Kingdom
Pat a jiggly mochi to mint sweet treats, hire 36 auto-helpers from a rice-pounding gremlin to the Infinity Mochiverse, then offer your whole kingdom to the sakura for a permanent boost.
Mochi Kingdom is a number-go-up idle clicker built around one squishy, happy-faced rice cake. Pat the mochi in the centre of the screen and it squashes, wobbles, and mints Mochi - the game's sweet little currency, counted up at the top of the screen with a live per-second readout below it. Early on your own taps carry the run; the goal is to save up your first 15 Mochi and hire a Mochi Maker, the first of 36 auto-helpers that bake on their own while you watch the total climb.
Those 36 helpers are the spine of the game and they get gloriously silly. You start with a Mochi Maker (a tiny rice-pounding gremlin) and a Bamboo Steamer, work up through a mallet-swinging Pounding Bunny, a Steamy Grandma, a Daifuku Factory and a nine-tailed Kitsune Bakery, then climb into the cosmic tiers - Moon Rabbit, Galaxy Oven, Dragon Kiln, Black Hole Bakehouse, Amaterasu's Sunpress, and finally the Infinity Mochiverse, a universe that is itself one big mochi. Every helper costs 15% more for each one you already own, so the shop turns into a constant little puzzle of which tier to push next. Hit 10, 25, 50, or 100 of a single helper and you cross a milestone that permanently doubles that helper's output.
The taps stay fun thanks to a stack of little systems. Pat quickly and you build a combo (eight tiers) that walks a C-pentatonic chime up the scale and adds to your tap power; every pat also has a small chance of a Sweet Crit that pays out seven times the value in a golden burst. Now and then a Golden Mochi drifts across the screen - catch it before it floats off and you trigger one of four rewards: a Mochi Frenzy (everything ร7 for 30 seconds), a MEGA Mochi (everything ร17), a Click Storm that auto-taps for you, or a Lucky lump of instant Mochi. There is no fail state and no timer - it is a cosy, set-it-down-and-come-back game.
The long game is prestige. Once a run's lifetime Mochi passes 100 million you can offer your kingdom to the sakura: your bank, helpers, and the 40 production upgrades all reset, but you bank Sakura Petals - a scarce prestige currency that grants a permanent +2% production boost for every petal you have ever earned, and that you spend on a tree of 36 lasting perks (cheaper helper scaling, a faster offline cap, an Auto Baker, stronger crits, and more). And because helpers never truly stop, the kitchen keeps baking while the tab is closed: come back later and a welcome-back screen hands you everything it made while you were away.

What carries Mochi Kingdom's slow opening is how seriously the one tap is animated. Pat the rice cake and it doesn't just shrink and snap back, it rides a damped spring that overshoots and settles, tilts a random few degrees, and flings up a floating number while its kaomoji face shifts from a dot-eyed grin to something starrier. Tap in rhythm and a combo climbs eight tiers, each adding a quarter to your tap power and nudging a C pentatonic chime up the scale, with a roughly four-percent Sweet Crit, scaling with the combo, that pays sevenfold in a gold burst. The juice is restrained but constant, so cranking out your first Mochi Maker feels like progress rather than penance.
The reason to keep going is the absurd length of the helper ladder. Thirty-six tiers run from a rice-pounding gremlin and a Pounding Bunny up through a Kitsune Bakery and Dragon Kiln to a Black Hole Bakehouse, Amaterasu's Sunpress, and an Infinity Mochiverse the flavor text swears is one big mochi, each with its own throwaway line. Every unit you own makes the next one fifteen percent dearer, which quietly turns the shop into a question of whether to deepen a tier toward its next milestone or jump to a fresh one. A slim bar under your total even pulses when the next unlock is within reach.
The texture lives in how those systems interlock. Forty upgrades stack multipliers onto taps, named pairs of helpers, or everything at once, and crossing ten, twenty-five, fifty, or a hundred of one helper permanently doubles it, so the smart spend is often nudging a tier over the next threshold. Golden Mochi don't appear randomly so much as on a roaming eighty-to-hundred-twenty-second timer; catch one and it weights toward a thirty-second Frenzy at seven times production, then a Lucky lump, a brief Mega at seventeen, or a Click Storm that auto-taps for you. Hammering the mochi mid-Frenzy, combo hot, is the real windfall.
Beneath the sparkle it stays unhurried, with no fail state and no clock. Push a run's lifetime past a hundred million and the offering opens: wipe your bank, helpers, and upgrades for Sakura Petals, which are deliberately scarce on a logarithmic curve, three at the unlock and only hundreds after a deep run. Each earned petal is a permanent two-percent production bump, spendable across thirty-six lasting perks, from a Head Start pile of helpers to an Auto Baker. Helpers keep working at sixty percent while the tab sleeps, and a welcome-back screen, plus a daily streak gift, hands you what they made.
There are 36 auto-helpers in the Shop, from the starting Mochi Maker all the way up to the Infinity Mochiverse, plus 40 production upgrades and a tree of 36 prestige perks. The whole roadmap is visible from the start - tiers you can't afford yet show as locked preview rows so you always know what's coming.
A Golden Mochi drifts across the screen now and then; tap it before it floats off the edge. It rolls one of four rewards: a Mochi Frenzy (all production ร7 for 30 seconds), a MEGA Mochi (ร17 for 12 seconds), a Click Storm that auto-taps the mochi for you for 8 seconds, or a Lucky lump that drops a big pile of Mochi instantly.
Every pat has a small chance - about 4%, rising with your combo tier - to land a Sweet Crit, which pays seven times the normal tap value in a golden burst. A perk called Keen Edge bumps crits to ร11, and Sharp Knife adds a flat +5% crit chance.
Once a run's lifetime Mochi passes 100 million, the Prestige tab lets you offer your kingdom to the sakura. That resets your bank, helpers, and upgrades, but awards Sakura Petals - a scarce currency that gives a permanent +2% production boost for every petal you've ever earned. You spend petals on 36 lasting perks, so each fresh run grows much faster than the one before.
Yes. Your helpers keep baking even when the game is closed, up to a 12-hour cap by default and at 60% efficiency. When you come back, a welcome-back screen hands you everything the kitchen made. Perks like Long Nap and Deep Nap stretch the cap, and Dream Earner makes offline run at full speed.
Tap steadily to afford your first Mochi Maker, then keep unlocking new helper tiers rather than over-buying cheap ones, since each tier out-bakes the last. Grab the cheap Upgrades as they appear, push helpers to their 10/25/50/100 milestones for free doublings, and catch every Golden Mochi.
No. Mochi Kingdom has no fail state, no enemies, and no timer - it's a relaxing watch-the-number-grow game. The only 'reset' is the prestige you choose to do yourself, and that always makes you permanently stronger.
Yes to both. Your Mochi, helpers, upgrades, Sakura Petals, perks, and the 87 achievements are saved privately in your own browser, so your kingdom is waiting next time you open it on the same device. It's also mobile-first - just tap or hold the mochi with a finger - and plays the same on Android, iPhone, and desktop.
