Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Introduction & Scope
Anime Mochi (“Anime Mochi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website animemochi.com, a free, ad-supported platform of original browser games. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit our site and play our games, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the website and all games hosted on it.
By using Anime Mochi, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site. This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to or that serve content (such as ads) on our pages; those are governed by their own privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect
(a) Information you give us
We do not require accounts and there is no sign-up. The main way you can choose to share personal information with us is by emailing us at [email protected]. If you contact us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write in your message. We use this only to read and respond to your message.
(b) Automatically collected technical and usage data
Like most websites, our servers and our third-party providers automatically receive certain technical information when you visit, which may include:
- Your IP address and an approximate, general location derived from it (such as country or region);
- Your device type, operating system, browser type and version, and screen or viewport size;
- The pages and games you visit, the actions and approximate time spent, and the date and time (timestamps) of your requests;
- The website or source that referred you to us (referring site / referrer);
- Basic diagnostic and error information that helps the site load and run correctly.
The technical data above is what servers and third-party providers (such as our host and Google AdSense) receive in the ordinary course of serving any website. Our own first-party analytics (see Section 5) is the deliberate exception: it is anonymous and records only game events - it does not collect or store your IP address, a device fingerprint, or any visitor identifier.
(c) Local storage on your device
Anime Mochi has no user accounts, and your game progress is not stored on our servers. Instead, your browser’s local storage on your own device keeps things like:
- Game saves and progress;
- Settings and preferences, such as whether sound is muted;
- Your cookie / advertising-consent choice, so we can remember it.
This data stays in your browser on your device. We do not transmit your game saves to us, and clearing your browser’s storage will erase that local data, including your game progress.
3. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and web beacons (also called pixels or tags). We and our partners use these in two broad ways:
- First-party storage - local storage set by us to remember your settings, your game saves, and your cookie/advertising-consent choice. Our own game analytics is cookieless and sets no identifiers (see Section 5). These are needed for the site to function and to honor your preferences.
- Third-party advertising technologies - cookies and similar technologies set by third parties, including Google, to serve and measure ads (on a non-personalized basis on this site). These are described below.
4. Advertising
Anime Mochi is free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads on our site, and we have configured AdSense to serve non-personalized ads by default (we set requestNonPersonalizedAds before the ad code loads). The following disclosures apply:
- Because ads are non-personalized, they are not targeted based on your prior browsing on this or other websites, and we do not allow Google to build a cross-site behavioral profile of you to target ads on this site.
- Google and other vendors may still use cookies for non-targeting purposes such as ad delivery, frequency capping, and fraud/abuse prevention.
- For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, advertising consent is managed through Google’s certified consent message (CMP); ads are served non-personalized where consent for personalization is not given.
- You can manage your ad preferences at Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), and opt out of many third-party vendors at https://www.aboutads.info/choices, and, in Europe, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
For more information about how Google uses data when you use our site and about its advertising technologies, see https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Other third-party ad partners may also use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to collect information when ads are shown to you and to serve or measure advertising. We do not control these third parties’ cookies or the data they collect, and their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Analytics
We use our own first-party, privacy-preserving analytics to understand which games are played and how the site performs, so we can improve it. It records only anonymous, aggregate game events - the game, the event type (such as opening or playing a game, and whether a run ended or was completed), the duration of a run in seconds, and a timestamp. This analytics:
- sets no cookies and writes nothing identifying to your device;
- does not store your IP address and uses no device fingerprint or visitor identifier - so it cannot recognize or track you across visits or sites;
- produces only aggregate counts (for example, “this game was played N times”), never a profile of you.
Because it collects no personal data and stores nothing on your device, this analytics needs no cookie consent and is used solely to support the internal operation and improvement of the site. We may also rely on aggregate, non-identifying measurement from our hosting provider and from Google in connection with advertising; those are governed by their own policies.
6. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, maintain, and run the website and its games, and remember your settings and progress on your device;
- Improve the site - fixing bugs, understanding aggregate usage through our anonymous first-party analytics, and developing new games and features;
- Display and deliver advertising, which is non-personalized by default (personalized advertising is not used unless you give consent where that option is offered);
- Protect the site, our visitors, and our partners by detecting, preventing, and addressing security issues, fraud, abuse, and technical problems;
- Respond to you when you contact us by email.
7. Legal Bases & Your Rights
EEA / UK visitors (GDPR and UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing your information include: your consent (for example, for personalized advertising cookies, which we request through a consent prompt); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the site and in showing non-personalized advertising; and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time (which does not affect processing already carried out). Where we rely on consent for personalized ads, you can change your choice through the consent prompt or by using the ad opt-out links in this policy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California visitors (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used and shared, to request access to or deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the use of advertising cookies for personalized ads may be considered “sharing” or a “sale” under California law; you can opt out of personalized advertising using the controls and links in Sections 4 and 8. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. Because we do not maintain accounts and most of your data (game saves and settings) lives only in your own browser, you can also exercise significant control directly by managing your browser’s cookies and local storage as described below.
8. Cookie Controls
You can control cookies and local storage at any time:
- In your browser: most browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies and clear local storage through their settings or privacy menus. Clearing this data will also remove your locally stored game saves and settings on this site.
- Through your consent choice: you can change the advertising-consent preference you gave us through our consent prompt.
- Ad opt-outs: manage personalized ads at Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com), and opt out of many third-party vendors at https://www.aboutads.info/choices and, in Europe, https://www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Blocking some cookies or storage may affect how parts of the site work, and opting out of personalized ads does not stop ads from being shown - you may still see non-personalized ads.
9. Children’s Privacy
Anime Mochi is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents and guardians may contact us with any questions or concerns.
10. Data Retention & Security
Game saves and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage and remain there until you clear them. Information processed by our third-party providers (such as ad and analytics partners) is retained according to their policies. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable record-keeping.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, and we serve our site over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. International Data Transfers
We and our third-party providers may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live, including in the United States. Those countries may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we and our providers rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for international transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, our partners, or the law. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, and your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
13. Contact
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
